- Sound Card
You will need to ensure that your sound card is correctly set.
Ensure that the Line In or Mic In channel is not muted or channel disabled in the Sound Card utility. Usually found via Control Panel/Sound or
Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices depending on your PC's operating system (assuming MS Windows based OS).
With Ver.5.8.x and Ver.5.9.x, these controls can be accessed via Options menu on SpecJT - RX Volume Control and TX Volume Control.
|
Please remember to disable ALL other windows sound events before txing JT6M otherwise
the sound event could be transmitted too e.g. "you have mail" wav file !. Have a listen on 14.070MHz to PSK31 signals, you very often
hear windows wav files !! |
If possible, fit a second sound card in your PC and use exclusively for digimodes. |
QuickMix - This little application can be used to save your
sound card settings and quickly re-instate them should they get altered.
